In the western foothills of the northern range, on the chaguaramas peninsula, the spectacular covigne gorge can be found. This hike takes you through the gorge, over small boulders and finally up a narrow channel to the mesmerizing pool above. This hike can take up to 1.5 hours, but can be done by children.
